Waseem Shiraz

Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Quantinuum

Waseem Shiraz has been part of Cambridge Quantum since its inception in 2014. He was instrumental in its 2021 combination with Honeywell Quantum Solutions, and helped shape a Cambridge start-up into Quantinuum, the world’s largest and most advanced quantum computing company. He works at the intersection of quantum computing, AI and high-performance computing to accelerate breakthroughs in medicine, materials, energy and climate. He is a director of Cambridge Quantum Holdings, a founding director and shareholder of IQM Quantum Computers, and invests through Stanhill Capital Partners. His work is guided by a simple conviction: to understand nature, you have to compute the way nature does.
