Dr Nicole Mather is the Chair of the Wellcome Genome Campus Science & Technology Advisory Group, working with Campus leaders to steer the scientific and technology strategy, drawing on her experience across industry, research, government and technology. This advisory group supports the continued growth of the Campus as technology, data, and AI revolutionise life sciences, presenting new ways to tackle some of humanity’s greatest challenges.

As Director of the Office for Life Sciences, Nicole led for UK government on the development of the Life Sciences Industrial Strategy. Nicole now leads IBM’s Life Sciences consulting team across UKI and EMEA, building on a vision to transform the future of health for patients, her teams help life sciences and health organisations harness data, AI, and digital innovation to deliver business transformation. Nicole is a NED the Cell & Gene Therapy Catapult and holds a DPhil and MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford.
