Economic Development Manager, Cambridge City Council

Jemma leads on economic policy and partnership development for Cambridge City Council to support the council’s vision for socially inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Her responsibilities include supporting the establishment of a new social innovation investment vehicle to tackle systemic inequalities in the city, linked to the Cambridge Pledge and improving skills and employment opportunities for residents. She also works with local business leaders and partners such as Innovate Cambridge and Cambridge Ahead to help secure investment in Cambridge, tackle Climate Change and ensure that Cambridge’s innovation eco-system continues to thrive. Prior to joining the council, Jemma worked in Cambridge and across the East and the South-East in local government on local growth policy, university innovation and economic development.
