Jonny Davidson

Associate Director - Business Development, Riverlane

A chemist by training, Jonny holds both an MSci in Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Cambridge. He began his career in industry as an Innovation consultant at Sagentia Innovation before moving into Business Development with Swiss/British AI startup Iprova, working on strategic planning and technology commercialisation.

Since joining Riverlane in 2023, Jonny has drawn on his scientific and commercial background to build relationships across quantum hardware manufacturers, research organisations, and end users exploring quantum computing applications in materials, chemistry, and energy. He’s also active in working with UK and European policymakers on quantum policy. His work supports Riverlane’s mission to accelerate the practical usefulness of quantum computers by tackling quantum error correction – the defining challenge to scaling reliable quantum systems.
