Edward Benthall

Chair,  Cambridge Innovation Capital

Edward Benthall has been Chair of Cambridge Innovation Capital since its foundation in 2013. In partnership with the University of Cambridge he has led the establishment of one of the UK’s leading deep tech and life sciences venture capital investors. Between 2010 and 2014, he was Chairman of Cambridge Enterprise, the University of Cambridge’s technology transfer office. Before that he was Chairman of the Campaign Council for the University’s 800th Anniversary Campaign.

Until April 2012, Edward was a Partner of Charterhouse Capital Partners, a leading UK private equity firm. He was Chairman of the Eden Trust, the charity that owns the Eden Project, from 2014 to 2023. Edward is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of Magdalene College, University of Cambridge.
