Edward was Chair of Cambridge Innovation Capital from its foundation in 2013 until September 2025. In partnership with the University of Cambridge he led the establishment of one of the UK’s leading deep tech and life sciences venture capital investors.
He was Chairman of the Eden Trust, the charity that owns the Eden Project, from 2014 to 2023. Between 2010 and 2014, he was Chairman of Cambridge Enterprise, the University of Cambridge’s technology transfer office. Before that he was Chairman of the Campaign Council for the University’s 800th Anniversary Campaign. Until April 2012, Edward was a Partner of Charterhouse Capital Partners, a leading UK private equity firm.
Edward is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of Magdalene College, University of Cambridge.
